

You just need to make sure you have your system running at 1.4ghz for it (at all times) and its butter smooth in all areas.

But EPSXE is far superior as an emulator and can only think you may have had a problem with it somewhere along the line and gave up but it really is easy to get it working correctly. Granted, I believe that FPSE may hold the edge slightly in high res Open GL mode but to me thats not how PSX games are supposed to look and thats maybe what you are after. You get zero lag in sound if you select the very low sound option and no lag in gameplay even with temperamental games like Tomba, FF7, 8 and 9, Chrono Cross etc. To be honest though, I'd be interested to know why you think FPSE is superior to EPSXE? I've got EPSXE on my S7800 with over a 100 PS1 games on it (it fills up the vast majority of my 64gb card!) and all the games play absolutely flawlessly and at full speed. I dont think there is anything you can do regarding sound latency with FPSE.
